African American Incentive Grant

The African American Incentive Grant Program (AAIG) awards "incentive" grants worth $2,500 ($1,250 per semester) per year to African American students who have demonstrated an ability to succeed during high school. The grant is renewable for an additional three years if the student maintains a 2.5 GPA in UT course work. Although the 2002-2003 school year was the first year for AAIG, it is constantly being improved and reworked to better aid its recipients.

As a member of the African American Incentive Grant Program, you are obligated to attend two classes that help you become acclimated to college life as well as having the opportunity to participate in numerous social activities that are put on by the AAIG Advisory Board throughout the school year.

Visit the AAIG website to learn more.
