The SSC NOW offers FREE tutoring for all UT Students!

The Student Success Center now offers FREE tutoring for all enrolled UT students! Walk-in or make an appointment for tutoring in Math, Biology, Chemistry, Spanish, and more. Check the schedule for The Commons (Hodges Library) and Hess Hall!

Tutorial Services @ SSC

Beginning Spring 2012 the SSC will offer FREE tutoring in select courses in two locations on campus! Our main tutoring location is in The Commons at Hodges Library. In addition, the SSC, partnering with University Housing, offers tutorial assistance in Hess Hall Conference Room (K101).

The SSC Tutoring Center focuses on: Biology 101 & 102; Chemistry 100, 120, & 130; Math 113, 115, 119, 125, 130, & 140; Spanish 123; Psychology 110. Ask about other courses. We may be able to accommodate!

Are you interested in becoming a tutor for the SSC? The application deadline for the Spring semester typically takes place in October; the deadline for Summer and Fall semesters typically takes place in April.

Tutoring@UT Online Database

The Student Success Center also hosts the Tutoring@UT online database for UT undergrads.

Simply locate your subject and course level, and you will find the available tutoring options that UT offers.

Whether you need assistance with English 101 or Organic Chemistry, check out these options for getting some extra help outside your regular class time:

  • Your instructor is a great resource to help you gauge your success in your class and to help you think through how to master course content.
  • SSC Academic Coaches can help strengthen your study skills and can offer additional learning strategies that are transferable to all your college courses.
  • SSC Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders offer organized evening study sessions and individual help during convenient day time hours.
  • Departmental tutors are available in a wide range of courses to meet with you one-on-one or in small groups to help keep you on the right track.
