Biography
What do you enjoy most about working with UT undergrads?
College students bring so much energy and humor, and it always brightens my day when I’m meeting with students. I love helping my students grow into a more confident, resilient, and capable learner and human being.
What is the most important advice you would give new students?
Give yourself (and others) grace as you’re navigating this new chapter of life. For many students, this is a new environment and the most independent they’ve ever been. Give yourself time to adjust and know that you’re not alone in feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and scared. You have so many people in your corner that care about you!
What is your favorite place on campus?
I love the UT Gardens. Although it’s a long walk, it’s always worth it to see the river, plants, and wildlife!
Why should students take advantage of the ASC?
College is stressful, and we understand that. ASC staff have the knowledge, experience, and campus partnerships to help you develop the skills to reach your academic goals. Many of the skills we help students build are skills that you can use for the rest of your life.
