Keep doing what works\u2014and visit the Academic Success Center anytime to strengthen your study strategies, time management, or test preparation.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>You\u2019re in good standing when:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Both your semester (term) GPA and your cumulative GPA are 2.0 or higher.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><div class=\"panel  panel panel-default\"><div class=\"panel-heading\"><h3 class=\"panel-title\"><a class=\"collapsed\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#custom-collapse-0\"\" href=\"#custom-collapse-0-1\"  aria-expanded=\"true\" aria-controls=\"#custom-collapse-0-1\"><svg xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" class=\"icon-collapse\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\"><path d=\"M0 7.33l2.829-2.83 9.175 9.339 9.167-9.339 2.829 2.83-11.996 12.17z\"\/><\/svg> Academic Probation<\/a><\/h3><\/div><div id=\"custom-collapse-0-1\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse panel-collapse collapse\"><div class=\"panel-body\"><\/p>\r\n<p>Probation is an early\u2011intervention phase to help you raise your GPA and get back on track.<\/p>\r\n<p>During probation, you must meet with an advisor before registering (including summer) and complete Academic Success Center programming.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>You are placed on probation if either:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Your cumulative GPA falls below 2.0 for one semester<\/li>\r\n<li>Your semester GPA falls below 2.0 for two consecutive semesters.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><em>See more on our <a href=\"https:\/\/studentsuccess.utk.edu\/academicsuccess\/academic-probation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Academic Probation webpage<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\r\n<p><div class=\"panel  panel panel-default\"><div class=\"panel-heading\"><h3 class=\"panel-title\"><a class=\"collapsed\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#custom-collapse-0\"\" href=\"#custom-collapse-0-2\"  aria-expanded=\"true\" aria-controls=\"#custom-collapse-0-2\"><svg xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" class=\"icon-collapse\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\"><path d=\"M0 7.33l2.829-2.83 9.175 9.339 9.167-9.339 2.829 2.83-11.996 12.17z\"\/><\/svg> Academic Dismissal<\/a><\/h3><\/div><div id=\"custom-collapse-0-2\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse panel-collapse collapse\"><div class=\"panel-body\"><\/p>\r\n<p>Dismissal follows a sustained pattern of grades below university standards. Dismissed students cannot enroll (full\u2011time or part\u2011time, including online) during the mandatory absence.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>You are placed on dismissal if:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>You are on probation and, at the end of the semester, both your cumulative GPA and your semester GPA are below 2.0, you will be dismissed.
