What is Big Orange Shadow?
- The Big Orange Job Shadow Program connects students with employers, community partners, alumni, and friends of the university for one-two day job shadowing opportunities.
- BOS serves its purpose to provide exposure to a variety of career fields and industries. The program is designed to be educational and intentional for students. Our goal is to create life-changing experiences for students and a chance to explore a career area to learn more or discover new opportunities.
Who is eligible to participate?
- ALL students are eligible to apply.
How do I apply?
- Submit resume, Google Form, and all application requirements via Handshake.
What is the duration of the program?
- 8 hours on either day. A specific schedule is up to the discretion of the business and will be sent to the student after the matching process is completed.
What is the matching process?
- Students are matched with a business partner based on their application, interests, and priod work experience.
Are there any expenses associated with the program?
- There are no expenses associated with participating in the program. However, students may have to cover their travel expenses.
Is there a dress code?
- Depends on the business. Business casual attire is typically preferred.
How should I prepare for the program?
- Attend one of the two Orientation Sessions that will be held November 25th and 26th
