Once you have a draft of your resume or cover letter the next step is to have it critiqued. The Center for Career Development & Academic Exploration offers both drop-in critiques and scheduled critiques.<\/p>\n

Walk-In Resume Reviews<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Peer Career Advisors provide one-on-one resume reviews, held in-person or virtually;<\/p>\n

1. Drop-In Hours<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Held in the CCDAE, Student Union 201 (right above Starbucks)<\/li>\n
  • Monday through Thursday, 10am \u2013 3pm, no appointment needed<\/li>\n
  • Ideal for quick questions and in-person guidance<\/li>\n
  • Last check-in is 15 minutes before closing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    2. Resume Drop (Virtual Resume Review)<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Email your resume as a PDF or Word document to pca@utk.edu<\/strong>\u00a0with the subject line\u00a0Resume Drop<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Include your name, major, year, and what you\u2019re using the resume for (job, internship, class assignment, graduate school, scholarship, etc.) in your email<\/li>\n
    • Receive personalized video feedback\u00a0within 5 business days<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Appointments<\/strong><\/h2>\n
        \n
      • For a more in-depth critique, you can schedule an appointment with a career coach designated to your major area of study.<\/li>\n
      • Appointments can last between 30 minutes to one hour.<\/li>\n
