With the access the internet provides, there is no excuse to have not researched the company before an interview.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Topics to research:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Company mission, vision, and values<\/li>\n<li>Organizational structure (who reports to who)<\/li>\n<li>Current and future projects and\/or initiatives<\/li>\n<li>News articles featuring the company or specific employees<\/li>\n<li>The position you are interviewing for<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While online research is helpful, keep in mind that personal contacts, UT Alumni, news publications, and other sources of information should also be utilized.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The following links will be useful in conducting online company research:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.linkedin.com\">LinkedIn<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/studentsuccess.utk.edu\/career\/elite-partners\/\">Center for Career Development &amp;
