Current University Exploratory Students\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Continuing students in the University Exploratory major will receive an email to schedule an appointment through Vol Connect before course registration begins. Students who would like to meet before then or additionally should contact their ACE Coach directly.<\/p>\n

Declaring University Exploratory or University Transition

Students who want to declare the University Exploratory or University Transition majors should complete the intake form<\/a>. Students will receive an email to schedule an appointment.<\/p>\n

Readmitted\/Dismissal Reinstatement

The ACE Team is available to help readmitted students or those participating in dismissal reinstatement with major exploration and parallel planning. Students should complete the intake form<\/a>. Students will receive an email to schedule an appointment.<\/p>\n

Preparing for an Appointment\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Academic advising is not only an opportunity to plan courses for the upcoming semester, it is a chance to discuss academics and career goals to make future plans and access resources. In order to make the most of your semester advising appointment, follow these steps to prepare.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Review majors you are considering in the <\/span>Undergraduate Catalog<\/span><\/a>, identify courses of interest, and identify requirements\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Run a DARS report<\/span><\/a> for majors of interest to see progress towards degree completion\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Familiarize yourself with the <\/span>adjacent majors page<\/span> to consider parallel plans\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Use the <\/span>Explore Majors and Careers Page<\/span><\/a> to identify helpful exploration tools like:\u00a0<\/span>\n
