Academic Affairs Coordinator
Biography
Karmen joined University Honors in August 2021. She was previously an Academic Advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences. Karmen has taught courses in anthropology, women’s and gender studies, and she has instructed University Honors courses at UTK. She has also worked as a high school Spanish teacher.
Her responsibilities include:
- Coaching upper-division honors students on their research and capstone experiences
- Managing the thesis/capstone process for Honors
Karmen grew up in North Carolina and Florida but Tennessee is truly home now.
