Graduate Teaching Assistant, Student Engagement
Biography
Patrick Angelaccio works with University Honors as the Graduate Assistant for Student Engagement.
His main responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement weekly University Honors Living and Learning Community activities with the direction of the Student Engagement Coordinator
- Maintain Student Engagement communications, including but not limited to, University Honors Canvas site and weekly newsletter
- Organize and lead multiple monthly service activities
- Oversee University Honors social media
Before joining University Honors, Patrick served as a student director for Ignite during his undergraduate studies. He helped more than 500 incoming first-year students connect with other incoming and current students and facilitated experiences to promote social, personal and leadership success. Patrick gave campus tours to prospective Vols as a student ambassador. He was a member of the 1794 Scholars Program and the College of Social Work Honors Program. As an honors student he studied abroad and was President of the Honors LLC. Patrick created an empathy based podcast to provide students with a forum to share their life experiences. He was named a University Torchbearer in 2023 and is excited to come back and give to the University Honors! Go Vols!
Education
Patrick is a master’s student in the Master of Science in Social Work program at the University of Tennessee. Born and raised in Palatine, Illinois, Patrick earned his Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. He majored in Honors Social Work and completed a minor in Psychology.
