{"id":2631,"date":"2016-06-29T20:57:04","date_gmt":"2016-06-29T20:57:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/honors.utdev3.wpengine.com\/?page_id=2631"},"modified":"2025-12-15T08:02:50","modified_gmt":"2025-12-15T13:02:50","slug":"honors-by-contract-forms","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/studentsuccess.utk.edu\/honors\/honors-by-contract-forms\/","title":{"rendered":"Honors by Contract Forms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Honors-By-Contract<\/strong> provides scholars a way to earn honors credit for a 300- or 400-level course that do not offer an honors section, by completing distinct requirements that enable them to engage with the course content on a deeper level.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li><em>No 100- or 200-level courses are eligible for the Honors-By-Contract option.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>CHP scholars may use a\u00a0maximum\u00a0of two Honors-By-Contract course to fulfill one of their five broadened perspective courses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a class=\"inline_disabled external\" href=\"https:\/\/nextgensso2.com\/sp\/startSSO.ping?PartnerIdpId=https:\/\/idp.utk.edu\/idp\/shibboleth&amp;SpSessionAuthnAdapterId=utkDF&amp;TargetResource=https%3a%2f%2fdynamicforms.ngwebsolutions.com%2fSubmit%2fStart%2f5e011beb-3e7d-40c3-9554-487d563370e8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Honors-by-Contract Application Form<\/strong><\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>HBC Application Form will require you to upload a copy of your course syllabus. Applications must be completed by the end of the third week of the semester.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Honors-by-Contract Completion Form\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>HBC Completion Form is due by the grade deadline of the term the student is enrolled in the course.<\/li>\n<li>*Note: The\u00a0Honors-by-Contract Completion Form is automatically sent to the instructor\u00a0for end-of-term verification. Instructors may also access the Completion Form directly through the\u00a0University Honors page in the <strong>Employee Hub<\/strong>.
