Biography

Kevin Reeves serves as the director of strategic initiatives in the Division of Student Success. He provides leadership for high-priority and collaborative initiatives to advance the mission of Student Success at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His passion for student success and development is derived from personal experiences as a first-generation student.

Kevin has dedicated his career to equipping students with the tools and resources at their disposal while empowering them to achieve their goals. His professional background includes academic advising, academic support services, mentoring, and student success. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Wayne State University, a Master of Science in Sport Leadership, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Education (emphasis in Higher Education Administration) from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Some of Kevin’s personal interests include watching football, playing basketball, and streaming a wide range of music and television series.

A Michigan native, Kevin, enjoys spending time with his wife, Shalaunda and their three children, Kevin Jr., Kerrington, and Kaylin.
