Megan King

Director of Academic Success Programs 

Dr. Megan King serves as the director of Academic Success Programs for the Division of Student Success.

Academic Success Programs currently oversees UT Promise on Rocky Top, a program designed to support the transition, academic success, and financial wellness of students receiving the UT Promise and Power-T Scholarships. 

Megan has worked in higher education for over 7 years, starting her professional career at the University of Tennessee as an academic coach.  Before her current role, Megan was the Assistant director of Outreach in the Academic Success Center (ASC) where she lead large-scale outreach efforts and supported First-Generation Initiatives across campus.   

Megan has a BA in Anthropology from SUNY Buffalo State College, an MA in Anthropology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a PhD from UT.  

She is deeply committed to creating meaningful, supportive, and empowering experiences for UT Promise on Rocky Top Scholars.
