Academic Coach

Biography

What do you enjoy most about working with UT undergrads?

Each student brings a new perspective to UT and I love watching them share their ideas, success, and struggles with one another. Seeing students take measures to ensure their success in and out of the classroom is a joy to watch and learn from.

What is the most important advice you would give to new students?

Take advantage of all the people that want you to succeed at UT! There are a variety of departments that offer services to help every student become academically, professionally, and personally ready to take on their future.

What is your favorite place on campus?

The UT Gardens is a beautiful place to escape the fast-paced environment of main campus. The UT gardens has a variety of spaces that can be used for studying, reading, or paths to walk, run, or bike. I love the proximity to campus and seeing all the beautiful garden displays.

Why should students take advantage of the ASC?

The Academic Success Center offers a wide variety of services to all students, from your first semester to your last, and it’s free! Academic Coaching is an opportunity for you to set up effective study skills and learn efficient time management to assist with your academic coursework in a one-on-one appointment. ASC also offers tutoring and supplemental instruction for hundreds of classes.
