What do you enjoy most about working with UT undergrads?
I enjoy working with undergrads as each scholar has a unique story to tell. I enjoy being able to learn more about their strengths, passions, and hope for the future. It is a honor to be able to be a part of our scholars’ journey to obtaining an undergraduate degree.
What is the most important advice you would give to new students?
The most important advice I would give to new students is to seek out help and various opportunities that are available on campus or virtually. It can be difficult to do so, but through multiple attempts, you are bound to grow and build new relationships with classmates, faculty, and staff.
What is your favorite place on campus?
One of my favorite places on campus is University Gardens and being able to walk on the Greenway. It is a beautiful place on campus, a great way to unplug, and take in the scenery while getting in some exercise.
Why should students take advantage of the ASC?
Scholars should take advantage of the ASC as our office is a great place to begin their academic education and navigate challenges that they will face. Each Academic Coach is equipped to help scholars with the concerns they are facing both academically and personally. Finally, Academic Coaches can recommend resources to scholars to help them overcome the obstacles they are struggling with.
