Strengths-Mindset Advisory Council

The UT Strengths-Mindset Advisory Council is charged with:

  • Advising the comprehensive strategic pathways to support student curricular, co-curricular, and academic and social engagement.  
  • Providing recommendations on tactical best practices UT could adopt to move the university’s work forward. 

Members of the council have the opportunity to investigate positive psychology and the strengths-based approach, discuss best practices, and make recommendations to move the university’s work forward.

Strengths-Mindset Advisory Council Timeline
  • Attend a launch meeting on February 25 from 2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
  • Complete a personal strengths assessment before March 1
  • Attend the Gallup Strengths Champions Course on March 2, 3, and 4 from 2:00 p.m-4:00 p.m.
  • Attend monthly meetings from April – September to develop recommendations
  • Offer recommendations on how to develop a strengths-mindset campus
