The Gilman International Scholarship is the preeminent U.S. State Department scholarship for undergraduate study abroad. Whereas the Fulbright is the preeminent State Department fellowship for post-graduateĀ study, research, or teaching abroad. This award supports the strategic experiences/initiatives of our Gilman scholars looking to lay the foundation for a Fulbright application.
Gilman Enhancement Award Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must be:
- A citizen of the United States;
- A UT undergraduate student in good standing;
- A Gilman International Scholarship recipient, providing proof of attendance to a credit/internship bearing program abroad
- Committed to applying to the Fulbright US Student Program
