Hundreds of undergraduate research and creative activities exist across our campus. From science labs to design studios, from engineering projects to art projects, from religious studies to marketing studies, the opportunities are diverse and decentralized. Each college and departments within colleges approach undergraduate research and creative achievement in their own, unique way.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Undergraduate research and creative activities can be pursued in a variety of ways, which include assisting a faculty member on his or her project, managing your own research project under the mentorship of a faculty member, conducting research as part of a listed course, and conducting research as part of an independent study.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Step 1: Get Involved<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you are new to research, we offer a Getting Started Workshop to help get you started.<\/p>\r\n

Once you know a little more about what you want to do, browse the Find Opportunities<\/a> section of this website to see what fits your research goals best. You can also go to your college\u2019s website and start exploring faculty members\u2019 research interests.<\/p>\r\n

When you find a faculty member who is doing research in your area of interest, start by sending them an email and asking for an appointment.<\/p>\r\n

We also offer a monthly\u00a0Research Workshop Series<\/a>\u00a0on a variety of topics to enhance your undergraduate research experience.<\/p>\r\n
