Open to the public, the symposium provides an opportunity for students to present their research through posters, engage with peers and faculty, and gain experience in academic communication.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Welcome, summer scholars! We look forward to seeing you and your research poster\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">on Tuesday, July 21, 2026<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. This event will be open to the public, and all summer scholars are welcome to present!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Presenter Participation Schedule\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thursday, June 2, 12:01 AM EST &#8211; Registration (Abstract &amp; Title) Opens<\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Thursday, July 9, 11:59 PM EST &#8211; <\/span>Registration<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0(Abstract &amp; Title) Deadline<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Thursday, July 16, 11:59 PM EST &#8211; <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>Symposium<\/strong><\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0(Poster Upload) Deadline<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Tuesday, July 21, at 1 p.m. EST &#8211; Summer Research Scholars Symposium<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Event Schedule &#8211; July 21, 2026<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">9:00 am &#8211; 9:45 am Presenter Check-In at the 1st Floor of Hodges Library<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">10:00 am &#8211; 12:00 pm Poster Presentations, 1st and 2nd Floor of Hodges Library<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Poster Guidelines<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The recommended poster printing size is 36\u2033 x 42\u2033 on paper. Velcro tabs are provided to attach your poster to the display board.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Printing is the responsibility of the participant. Please print your poster on paper.<\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Digital files uploaded to the Symposium website should be in PDF format and no larger than 10 MB.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Illustrations (diagrams, photographs, figures, etc.) should be sized and lettered to be legible from a distance of three feet. Illustrations should be simple, colorful, well-labeled, and neat.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">You may not post your printed research paper in place of a poster.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Optional poster templates are available as a\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/studentsuccess.utk.edu\/urf\/getting-started\/share\/eureca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">PowerPoint download<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A helpful guide to printing your poster is available on the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/libguides.utk.edu\/posters\/printing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">UT Libraries website and is linked here<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">*If you are a student engaged in research through funding from our office (AURA, FRAF, DRA), this is NOT the mandatory event required as part of the program.
