Biography

Originally from Miami, FL, Katrina is a first-generation college student who currently works as a professional academic coach for the UT Success Academy and UT LEAD students. Her professional interests include equity in education, mentorship for first-generation college students, and CliftonStrengths. Katrina guides her academic coaching sessions in a holistic manner by focusing on strengthening resiliency, encouraging student autonomy, and reflective questioning. In addition to academic coaching, Katrina is a committee member of the NextGen Institute through the American College Personnel Association (ACPA). Outside of work, Katrina enjoys reading, spending time with her dog, Carlos, and hiking in national parks.
