{"id":42,"date":"2022-03-24T08:34:45","date_gmt":"2022-03-24T12:34:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/studentsuccess.utk.edu\/ve\/?page_id=42"},"modified":"2022-04-27T10:20:46","modified_gmt":"2022-04-27T14:20:46","slug":"measuring-our-progress","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/studentsuccess.utk.edu\/ve\/measuring-our-progress\/","title":{"rendered":"Measuring Our Progress"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<hr class=\"orange-hash\">\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strategic Vision: Five-Year Transformational Metrics<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The university\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/utk.edu\/vision\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Strategic Vision<\/a> suggests the following indicators to measure the progress of the overall Cultivating the Volunteer Experience goal area:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Increase student first-to-second-year retention from 88% to 90%<ul><li>Paying special attention to the persistence of first-generation, low-income students, Students of Color, and student veterans<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Achieve student participation in high-impact educational practices of 80%<\/li><li>At least 50% of UT undergraduates participate in the Volunteer Experience<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Assessment Plan<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To assess and evaluate our progress across efforts within the Volunteer Experience initiative, UT has appointed <a href=\"https:\/\/studentsuccess.utk.edu\/patrick-biddix\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Patrick Biddix<\/a>, professor in the department of educational leadership &amp; policy studies, to serve as assessment coordinator.
