The success of the Volunteer Experience initiative will rely on university-wide adoption and implementation. Be part of creating a transformational student experience by participating in one of the opportunities below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curricular Initiatives<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Interested in opportunities to promote well-being and student success in your classroom? The office of Teaching & Learning Innovation (TLI) offers multiple opportunities to engage in this content:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>

<\/svg> Teaching & Learning Innovation Course Redesign Institute<\/a><\/h3><\/div>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learn how you can engage with faculty across the university to share pedagogical ideas and participate in a focused track to redesign one of your courses through TLI\u2019s three-week, virtual\u202fCourse Redesign Institute <\/a>offered annually during the May\u202fmini-term. Information regarding the 2023 Institute will be available in early spring 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/svg> Fostering the Volunteer Experience in the Classroom: Using Well-Being to Improve Learning<\/a><\/h3><\/div>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consider completing TLI\u2019s self-paced asynchronous course that provides an introduction to the foundations of well-being and how to implement one well-being model (PERMA) that is well-suited to the classroom context. Learn more<\/a> about this certificate program and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/svg> Consultations<\/a><\/h3><\/div>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TLI offers individual and small group consultations for faculty interested in discussing how to integrate well-being into their specific course. Learn more<\/a> about and sign up for TLI\u2019s consultation services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Look for more information on college-level initiatives coming in the next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later in 2022, we will be launching a call for a team of Faculty Fellows who will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Serve as academic department leaders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Be trained in and foster the peer-to-peer promotion of well-being constructs amongst the faculty in their respective colleges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Partner with TLI to promote best practices in undergraduate instruction using a well-being framework.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Support departmental colleagues in the submission of Student Success Grants. These grants, funded through the Office of the Provost, are designed to support academic departments seeking to improve student success metrics by focusing on faculty education and course redesign for high-enrollment courses.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Ongoing Education<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Division of Student Success will partner with content experts across campus to offer a regular series of professional development workshops, offering theoretical and practical content relevant to the Volunteer Experience. Look for more information here soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
