Memorial Association<\/h4>\n<p>The Marines&#8217; Memorial Association is an organization that is open to veterans and active duty personnel of all military branches who served honorably in the military. The following scholarship programs are open to all veterans and do not require a membership to the Marines Memorial Association to apply.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/marinesmemorial.org\/scholarships\/hammer-family\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Hammer Family Scholarship<\/a>. Eight of these Hammer Family Scholarships are available in the amount of $5,000 each. All eligible U.S. Veterans who wish to study in the fields of Math, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering (Aerospace, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, or Mechanical) are welcome to apply. The U.S. Army can help with one of the most comprehensive scholarships available in the health care field \u2014 The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goarmy.com\/amedd\/education\/hpsp.html\">F. Edward H\u00e9bert Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program<\/a>. Qualifying students receive full tuition for any accredited medical, dental, veterinary, psychiatric nurse practitioner, psychology or optometry program, plus a generous monthly stipend of more than $2,000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT&#8217;S COVERED?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Army health care team will pay 100 percent of your tuition for a graduate-level health care degree for any accredited medical, dental, veterinary, psychology or optometry program in the United States or Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FULL-TUITION SCHOLARSHIP, PLUS A $20,000 SIGN-ON BONUS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Army Medical Department can help take away the worry of how you&#8217;ll pay for school. The F. Edward H\u00e9bert Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program is available to qualifying students who wish to earn professional degrees from accredited medical, dental, optometry, veterinary, psychiatric nurse practitioner, clinical or counseling psychology programs. We will pay 100 percent of your tuition, plus we will also pay for required books, equipment and most academic fees. Qualifying medical and dental students are also eligible to receive a $20,000 sign-on bonus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHO&#8217;S ELIGIBLE?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The HPSP is available for students pursuing advanced degrees in medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, psychiatric nursing, optometry or psychology. To qualify for the Health Professions Scholarship Program, you must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a U.S. citizen with a baccalaureate degree from an accredited school<\/li>\n<li>Be enrolled in (or have a letter or acceptance from) an accredited graduate program in the U.S. or Puerto Rico (varies by specialty)<\/li>\n<li>Maintain full-time student status during the length of the program<\/li>\n<li>Qualify as a commissioned officer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"panel  panel panel-default\"><div class=\"panel-heading\"><h3 class=\"panel-title\"><a class=\"collapsed\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#custom-collapse-0\"\" href=\"#custom-collapse-0-10\"  aria-expanded=\"true\" aria-controls=\"#custom-collapse-0-10\"><svg xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" class=\"icon-collapse\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\"><path d=\"M0 7.33l2.829-2.83 9.175 9.339 9.167-9.339 2.829 2.83-11.996 12.17z\"\/><\/svg> Sentinels of Freedom (SOF) Scholarship<\/a><\/h3><\/div><div id=\"custom-collapse-0-10\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse panel-collapse collapse\"><div class=\"panel-body\"><\/p>\n<h3>Sentinels of Freedom (SOF) Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p>A 2-4 year <a href=\"https:\/\/sentinelsoffreedom.org\/eligible-veteran\/\">Sentinels of Freedom Scholarship<\/a> focuses support in the following areas: Education, Housing, Mentoring, Employment, Career &amp; Networking Assistance and Financial Planning. You are eligible if you meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Member of any branch of the armed forces, active, guard or reserves who has been severely wounded or injured, in a service connected event post- 9\/11; this includes combat related, training accidents and non-physical injuries<\/li>\n<li>Received a permanent VA disability rating of 50% or higher as listed on their VA Rating Statement<\/li>\n<li>Have received or will be receiving an honorable discharge<\/li>\n<li>Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in full-time post-secondary education or vocational school. The Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship (Fry Scholarship) pays eligible dependents up to 36 months of the full, 100% level, of the Post-9\/11 GI Bill.
