Vol 105 is a one-credit course that focuses on your strengths and well-being while tackling topics such as learning strategies, career competencies, financial literacy, and life at UT.

First-year students will be enrolled in an appropriate seminar before or during your New Student Advising appointment. Transfer students have the option of registering for TRNS 201 during your advising appointment.

As part of Vol 105, you will meet with your Academic Coach to discuss study tips, goal setting, time management, and test preparation. Additionally, many students enrolled in a first-year seminar will be assigned a Peer Mentor (PM), who supports the instructor by leading conversations and will meet with students individually throughout the semester.
