Absolutely! All you have to do is make sure their names and contact information are included in the “Family Member Information” section of your Orientation registration.
If they are not included in your registration, they will not receive Orientation emails.
The $400 orientation fee covers UT’s full New Vol Experience, which is a year-long transition program that supports students from the moment they commit to UT through their first year on campus.
It includes the online orientation, new student advising and course registration, and the on-campus orientation experience where students connect with campus resources and other new Vols. It also supports programming during the first six weeks of the semester, the first-year seminar course, and a spring re-orientation experience when students return after fall.
The fee also covers things like first-year student materials, the CliftonStrengths assessment, and programs throughout the year that support academic success, well-being, and connection to campus.

The Orientation fee is non-refundable. If you are no longer attending UT, and would like to put in a request to receive a refund, please contact the Office of First-Year Experience.
