Biography

Sara Hopper is excited to serve the University Honors team as the Associate Director. As an East Tennessee native, Sara received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Tennessee Wesleyan University in 2007 and her Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2017. As a graduate student, Sara focused on working with Adult Learners and helping them continue their education.

Her career for the last 15 years has been in higher education, primarily in admissions. She enjoys working with students to help them achieve their goals and complete their degree. She is looking forward to working with the Honors program to help more students to make their dreams a reality and become graduates of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Sara has been a proud resident of Knoxville since 2021 where she and her husband, Michael enjoy living and raising their daughter and two cats. Sara enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is also an avid thrifter and yard seller in the summers.
