The Division of Student Success communications team creates professional, UT-branded materials for the division and its departments to support the division’s mission, initiatives, and development.

Our goal is creatively and proactively communicating to UT scholars the academic resources and support available within the division and across the UT campus.

Leader of all DSS Communications and Marketing strategy, planning, processes, operations, and visual/brand identity.

Intermediary with Vice Provost of Student Success, Student Life, Enrollment Management, OCM, and campus communications directors.

Patrick Garlock

Associate Director, Communications and Digital Initiatives

Leads comms efforts related to incoming and continuing student scholars and external audiences for First-Year Experience, University Honors, CCDAE, UTSA, OURF, Veterans Success, Academic Success Center, Vol Success Teams, and Tennessee Success Advantage. Leads Slate and Salesforce efforts for DSS Comms. 

Sadie Montague

Graphic Designer

Lead Student Success graphic designer with full oversight of all DSS design vision and operations related to digital and print materials.

DSS Comms intermediary with UPM. 

Madisun Richardson

Communications Coordinator 

mricha65@utk.edu

Supports student-driven communications and marketing for DSS Comms through graphic designs, newsletters, press releases, social media, and digital enterprises for FYE, Honors, CCDAE, UTSA, OURF, Veterans Success, Academic Success Center, Vol Edge, and Tennessee Success Advantage.
