Future Student Success Building



A Hub for Academics, Wellness, and Career Readiness

The new Student Success Center at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, scheduled to open in Fall 2027, is a transformative project that will advance student success and academic achievement. Designed with the student in mind, the new building will include spaces that will support best practices for student success mentoring and coaching, student disability services, interdisciplinary offices, active learning classrooms, informal learning spaces and associated building support spaces.

A Grand Opening

The Student Success Center will open in Fall 2027, designed by Hastings Architecture and built by Hoar Construction in partnership with Capital Projects and UT Facilities.

Supporting Academic Achievement

The Success Center will house the Academic Success Center, University Honors and First-Year Experience offices, the Veterans Success Center and Veterans Benefit Administration, the Vol Study Center, Student Disability Services, Undergraduate Research and Fellowships and much more.

Space to Thrive

Located in the original location of Melrose Hall with more than 116,000 square feet, the Student Success Center will include classrooms, testing rooms, student lounges, offices and more.
