First-Generation Initiatives is pleased to announce the creation of four new awards and recognitions that will honor students at University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Each award highlights the leadership skills and outstanding accomplishments of members of our campus community.
The First-Generation Pioneer Medallion is awarded to undergraduate first-generation students for their commitment to academic excellence and achievement and leadership at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.Learn More!
The First-Generation Emerging Leader Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate first-generation students for their commitment to academic excellence, scholarly achievement, leadership development. First-generation students are eligible to apply for the scholarship in the amount of $500 dollars in the spring semester. Scholarship funds will be applied to UTK student accounts in the subsequent fall semester pending enrollment verification.Learn More!
The Trailblazer award recognizes two exceptional first-generation seniors for their outstanding achievements throughout their four years at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Recipients of the Trailblazer Award must be nominated by a current faculty and/or staff member and be graduating in either Spring, Summer, or Fall semesters of the nominating year.Learn More and Nominate Here!
