First-Generation Initiatives honors all trailblazer students during their journey here at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and celebrate these scholars with a variety of special events throughout the academic year.

First-Gen Vols: Welcome to Rocky Top | Wednesday, August, 23 | 12:00-2:00pm | Claxton Courtyard | All first-gen Vols are invited to jumpstart the semester with up free school supplies, lunch, and networking opportunities with peers and academic coaches. |

First-Generation Awards Info Session | Wednesday, Sept. 20 | 4-5pm | I-House Great Room 100 | All First-Generation scholars are eligible to earn the Pioneer Medallion and Emerging Leader Scholarship through active involvement on campus. Attend an information session to learn more! RSVP here! |
First-Gen Day T-Shirt Pick-Up
First-Gen faculty and staff are invited to pick up a tee and enjoy free snacks and coffee during one of the four events listed below.

First-Gen Day: Paint the Rock | Wednesday, November 8 | 12-2 p.m. | The Rock | Celebrate what it means to be a first-generation college student and, more specifically, a First-Gen Vol! Come out to paint The Rock, get some free food, a free t-shirt and meet other First-Gen students. |
