First-generation students who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited to join Tri-Alpha.  If you are invited to become a member, you will need to pay the membership dues.

All Tri-Alpha members are required to pay a one-time membership fee of $20.00.

Eligible students can expect an invitation to join Tri-Alpha after final grades for the most recent semester have been posted.

A Tri-Alpha graduation cord is $14.  Fundraising efforts may be used to cover the costs of graduation cords for student members.

The chapter officers and advisors can speak with the national office on a case-by-case basis, however it is unlikely that exceptions can be made since the eligibility requirements are set by the national Tri-Alpha Honor Society office.

Yes. Faculty and staff members at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville can join if they are first-generation at their respective universities.
