Coffee with CHP Alumnus Jason Fletcher

Tuesday, January 23rd at 5 p.m.

CHP Alumnus and recent author of The Genome Factor, Jason Fletcher is a Professor of Public Affairs, Sociology, Applied Economics and Population Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A specialist in health economics, economics of education and child and adolescent health policy, Fletcher focuses his research on examining social network effects on adolescent education and health outcomes, combining genetics and social science research, estimating long-term consequences of childhood mental illness, and child and adolescent mental health policy.

His recent book shows how genomics is transforming the social sciences—and how social scientists are integrating both nature and nurture into a unified, comprehensive understanding of human behavior at both the individual and society-wide levels.
