Honors Vols are naturally inquisitive, driven individuals who come together in a like-minded community to participate in an elevated academic experience at the University of Tennessee. When do I apply for University Honors?
If you’re a prospective first-year student, apply to UT by the early action deadline, November 1. After applying to the university, qualified students will receive an invitation via email to apply to the programs for which they are eligible.
Current students can apply to join honors as early as your second semester by submitting an application by November 15 for the spring semester, and by April 15 for the fall semester. Current students can find more detailed information and the application here.
Transfer students can apply to join honors after their acceptance to UT, or apply as a current UT student after they have completed at least one semester at the University. Applications are due by January 1 for the spring semester, and by July 15 for the fall semester. Transfer students can find more detailed information and the application here.

If you’d like to be an Honors Vol, there are several ways to join! We accept applications from prospective first-year students for both of our honors programs.
