Every Chancellor’s Honors scholar receives a fellowship. These experiences give students exclusive access to funded, high-impact opportunities that extend learning beyond the classroom, through global immersion, competitive project funding, or direct admission pathways that help deepen academic interests, build leadership and problem-solving skills, and gain meaningful experience.
We offer two types of Honors fellowships:

University Honors Fellowships: guaranteed for every Chancellor’s Honors student, providing funded opportunities such as global immersion experiences and competitive project funding to support academic and personal growth.

Pre-Graduate Fellowships: a specialized pathway offering reserved seats and direct admission into select post-undergraduate programs for students pursuing advanced study.
University Honors Fellowships
Summit Fellows
Chancellor’s Honors Program (CHP)
Select Chancellor’s Honors scholars can apply for up to $1,500 in additional funding to accelerate high-impact academic and professional experiences.
Summit Fellows use this support to pursue opportunities such as undergraduate research, study abroad, internships, and creative or entrepreneurial ventures. The fellowship empowers students to turn initiative and intellectual ambition into hands-on experience before graduation.
Catalyst Fellows
Chancellor’s Honors Program (CHP)
Select Chancellor’s Honors scholars receive $2,500 in additional guaranteed funding to accelerate high-impact academic and professional experiences.
Catalyst Fellows use this support to pursue opportunities such as undergraduate research, study abroad, internships, and creative or entrepreneurial ventures. The fellowship empowers students to turn initiative and intellectual ambition into hands-on experience before graduation.
Global Fellows
Chancellor’s Honors Program (CHP)
Select Chancellor’s Honors scholars receive a fully funded, faculty-led, cohort-based global immersion focused on complex challenges. Global Fellows can also apply for up to $1,500 in additional funding to accelerate high-impact academic and professional experiences.
Global Fellows complete structured academic preparation before participating in an immersive, faculty-guided experience abroad taking place in May at the conclusion of the student’s first year. Designed around global issues and interdisciplinary learning, this fellowship helps students strengthen global awareness, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in an international context.
Haslam 50
Chancellor’s Honors Program (CHP) and the Haslam College of Business
The Haslam 50 is the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s premier honors pathway for Tennessee’s top 50 high school students interested in business. The program was created to help keep the state’s highest-achieving talent in Tennessee.
Haslam 50 scholars receive an integrated honors experience that includes both the Chancellor’s Honors Program and the Haslam College of Business Honors Discovery Experience. Selected Haslam 50 scholars are awarded scholarship funding totaling $24,000 across their four-year college journey that can be combined with additional scholarships determined upon university admittance. Fellows can also apply for up to $1,500 in additional funding to accelerate high-impact academic and professional experiences.

Chancellor’s Honors Program (CHP) and the Howard H. Baker Jr. School of Public Policy and Public Affairs
Four exceptional students each year receive a $10,000 annual scholarship and exclusive opportunities in public service, policy, and civic engagement. Baker Founders Fellows can also apply for up to $1,500 in additional funding to accelerate high-impact academic and professional experiences.
Baker Founders Fellows complete the Chancellor’s Honors Program and a minor while gaining access to signature Baker School experiences, including distinguished speakers, a guaranteed Washington Intern Program placement, and a choice of capstone experience in research, graduate study, or applied policy work.

Health Fellows
Haslam Leadership Scholars (HALS) or Chancellor’s Honors Program (CHP)
The University Honors Health Fellows Program provides a structured pathway for high-achieving UT Knoxville students pursuing careers in healthcare.
Fellows receive specialized advising and mentorship from the UT Health Science Center, leadership and professional development coursework, clinical and simulation experiences, and opportunities to explore health professions firsthand.
Students who meet academic, professional, and program-specific requirements may advance to Senior Health Fellow status and become eligible for reserved seats in participating UTHSC programs, including Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Health Professions.
