Honors by Contract Forms

Honors-By-Contract provides scholars a way to earn honors credit for a 300- or 400-level course that do not offer an honors section, by completing distinct requirements that enable them to engage with the course content on a deeper level.

    • No 100- or 200-level courses are eligible for the Honors-By-Contract option.
    • CHP scholars may use a maximum of two Honors-By-Contract course to fulfill one of their five broadened perspective courses.
  • Honors-by-Contract Application Form
    • HBC Application Form will require you to upload a copy of your course syllabus. Applications must be completed by the end of the third week of the semester.
  • Honors-by-Contract Completion Form 
    • HBC Completion Form is due by the grade deadline of the term the student is enrolled in the course.
    • *Note: The Honors-by-Contract Completion Form is automatically sent to the instructor for end-of-term verification. Instructors may also access the Completion Form directly through the University Honors page in the Employee Hub. Students do not need to take any action regarding this form; they will simply receive a confirmation once it has been submitted and is being processed by the Registrar.
