Biography

Jessica Ross Romine holds a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from the University of Tennessee, and a Master of Science in Geoscience from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, Alabama, where she concentrated her studies on forensic investigation. She has also been involved with eighteen organizations throughout her college career, such as: Delta Zeta, Sigma Alpha Itota, Alpha Kappa Psi, and Student Government Association.

She started her career at The University of Alabama within the Division of Student Life, where she was a Program Coordinator for the Women & Gender Resource Center. During her time there she developed Peer Educator/Leader curriculum on the importance of understanding the complexities of interpersonal violence and coordinated many events in association with Dating/Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Awareness Months.

One goal of Jessica’s is to become Chancellor or President of a university. She wants to be the person that helps students find their community, to find their home away from home, and overall graduate and achieve their dreams. A person who is approachable, caring, and a gateway to connectedness on campus.

Although Jessica has always lived in the state of Alabama, she is happy to finally come home and be closer to family here in Tennessee! Outside of work, she likes to spend time with her husband and dog (Nova), explore local areas (including the Smokies), play Nintendo with her husband, and relax.
