Originally designed to maximize Black and Hispanic men’s transition to college, the UT Success Academy enhances the undergraduate experience by creating and supporting access and engagement opportunities for student scholars through an innovative four-year cohort experience focused on empowering each student to discover, connect, and lead through their strengths.
UT’s academic-support initiatives champion the success of every scholar, including ones that—based on current data — substantially benefit from personal engagement and community building. While programs change with evolving data, participation is open to all scholars.

All first-year admitted students to the University of Tennessee can apply to UT Success Academy, a program originally designed to maximize incoming Black & Hispanic men’s transition to college.
