Biography

Abraham Cervantes is a senior academic coach for the Academic Success Center with three years experience in advocating/supporting marginalized and underrepresented students (primarily first-year Black and Hispanic men) with community building. Specializing in strengths-based coaching, time-management practices, and study strategies, Abraham enjoys helping students succeed academically while focusing on their overall well-being.

Abraham is originally from a northern suburb of Chicago. His previous experience ranges from primary leadership within university housing and crisis management. He obtained his Master’s in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Northern Illinois University and his bachelor’s in sociology from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
