Measuring Our Progress

Strategic Vision: Five-Year Transformational Metrics

The university’s Strategic Vision suggests the following indicators to measure the progress of the overall Cultivating the Volunteer Experience goal area:

  • Increase student first-to-second-year retention from 88% to 90%
    • Paying special attention to the persistence of first-generation, low-income students, Students of Color, and student veterans
  • Achieve student participation in high-impact educational practices of 80%
  • At least 50% of UT undergraduates participate in the Volunteer Experience

Assessment Plan

In this role, Biddix is guiding the assessment of both student learning and program effectiveness in the following areas:

  • Student Success Grants
  • Student Well-Being
