Vol Success Week


September 26-30

Join us for Vol Success Week, a week-long event for students to engage with academic resources to enhance their success and prepare for mid-terms. Held from September 26-30, the week will offer transformative opportunities for students to engage with academic programming, network with their peers and UT faculty and staff and participate in signature events including a kick-off lunch, group workshop, and coffee with the Vice Provost of Student Success. Attendees are encouraged to use the “Big Orange Welcome” guide within the Vol Life app to stay up-to-date on Vol Success Week events.

Class of 2024 & 2025 Cookout

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Circle Park

Class of 2024 & 2025, please join us in Circle Park to celebrate your success and have lunch with your peers. CJs Tacos & Penne For Your Thoughts will be passing out free meals to members of each class. 550 meals will be served while supplies last.


Engineering and STEM Job Fair

2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Student Union Ballroom

This fair focuses on students/alumni who are interested in organizations seeking Engineers and STEM-related majors. It is targeted to students in the following majors/areas: All Engineering, Hard Sciences like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc., Agriculture Sciences areas, Technology-focused areas and Mathematics. You do not need to register in advance; you may simply show up on the day of the fair.


Honors and Clifton Strengths: Using Your Strengths to Enhance Your Well-Being

Gain insight into how to use your top 5 CliftonStrengths to increase your well-being. We will specifically look at academic/career, social, financial, community and physical well-being. For Honors & Scholars Program students only.

We’re looking for a group of dedicated undergraduate students to serve as Orientation Leaders (OLs) who welcome New Vols and their family members to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. With midterms on the horizon, let’s get prepared to take off with a blast. The ASC has midterm assistant to support your well-being whether your exams are fast approaching or just happened. First-Gen Vols Social: Trivia Night

Make effective note taking a lifelong habit. Learn how to annotate readings, record two-column notes in class, and apply deep learning strategies to successfully learn.

UTK Night at the Zoo

4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Zoo Knoxville

Come enjoy a night at Zoo Knoxville! All animal exhibits will be open just for you. There will be special animal interactions such as petting farm, giraffe feedings, and opportunities to touch reptiles! Snacks will be available but you can also purchase a meal from any of the open restaurants. Admission is free, just bring your UT ID! Transportation from campus to the zoo will run every 30 minutes so feel to experience the zoo for as long as you want to. Bus pick up will be at Gate 21 of Neyland Stadium. If you are planning to drive yourself, parking is available in the zoo’s upper and lower lots. The address for the zoo is 3500 Knoxville Zoo Dr., Knoxville, TN 37914. No registration required.
