Vol Success Week

February 22-26, 2021

UT will celebrate the academic achievements of its students through the Vol Success Week from February 22 – 26. Vol Success Week features student engagement opportunities, a coffee event hosted by the provost, and distinguished guest speakers. Attendees are encouraged to use the “Big Orange Welcome” guide within the Vol Life app to stay up-to-date on Vol Success Week events.

Navigating Civil Discourse featuring Governors Bredesen & Haslam

Live Event

In a modern, complicated world, we need citizens who actively participate, think critically, and challenge each other to make society work. We need leaders willing to lead civil discourse – a condition that helps people live peacefully, even if they may disagree with one another. As an attendee of this event, you will have the opportunity to hear directly from Governors Haslam and Bredesen about their civil discourse perspectives.

Former NFL Player Wade Davis is a thought leader, public speaker, and writer on gender, race, and orientation equality. Wade is currently the Vice President of Inclusion Strategy for Product at Netflix and has consulted with Google, MTV/VH1, 21st Century Fox, AppNexus and others to co-create transformative solutions to build inclusive corporate cultures. Additionally, Wade has coached senior leaders to adapt and flex their leadership styles to meet the needs and develop their employee population.

UT Libraries’ Students as Scholars Workshop Series: The Studio: Creativity Made Simple
