4x4: Going Off-Road to Connect Across Campus

4×4: Going Off-Road to Connect Across Campus

Be a Part of an Innovative Project to Connect UT Staff Across Campus!

What is 4×4?

A 4×4 is a group of four student services professionals who don’t already know each other that meet four times throughout the semester as a way to get to know each other personally and professionally in a casual setting.

Participants often include academic advisors and coaches, Student Life and Student Success leaders and professional staff, graduate program coordinators – professionals who work with students at the core of their job and want to network with others across campus.

Think of it like a book club without the book!

What is the Time Commitment?

The expected time commitment is approximately 60-90 minutes four times during the semester.

Participants will be asked to schedule these as a priority, but the meetings can be scheduled at creative times and locations, such as a coffee treat early in the day or an ice cream break in the afternoon.

What’s in It for Me?

Benefits of joining a 4×4 include:

  • Getting out of your office
  • Seeing new parts of campus
  • Meeting professionals you may not otherwise have a chance to meet
  • Learning new things from new people
  • Potentially making new friends
