At UT, we begin with a simple belief: every scholar arrives with strengths, experiences, and potential already worth building on. Our work is not to “fix” scholars, it is to help them recognize what they bring, develop those strengths with purpose, and use them to shape their own path forward. Through an approach based on CliftonStrengths, we are building a culture where every scholar is seen not for what they lack, but for what they can become.

The Division of Student Success helps bring UT’s Strategic Enrollment Priorities to life by ensuring that scholars who choose Rocky Top find not only opportunity, but also connection, challenge, and a clear sense of possibility.
We are strengthening pathways for high-achieving scholars through University Honors, deepening belonging through cohort-based experiences for Rocky Top Scholars, and helping scholars connect their strengths to meaningful careers. This work reflects a commitment to Tennessee: preparing graduates who are ready to contribute their talent, leadership, and Volunteer spirit in communities and workplaces across the state.
