The New Vol Experience at UT consists of six components for all incoming first-year and transfer Vols, helping them learn about campus resources, academic expectations, and opportunities for involvement so they can build confidence, make connections, and begin their college journey prepared for success.
What Vol Experience offers
Vol 101: Online Introduction to UT
Vol 101 is a required online orientation program for all incoming undergraduate students.
This program will introduce you and your family to valuable resources and opportunities available to you as a member of the Volunteer family.
Vol 103 is an optional one-day, on-campus experience that gives first-year students and their friends and families the chance to connect with academic and campus life resources, see a residence hall, eat in Rocky Top Dining Hall, and connect with other new Vols.
Vol 104 kicks off the first six weeks of each semester and is offered as a way for you to explore campus, engage in opportunities to drive your academic success, and connect with other Volunteers.
Vol 105 is a one-credit course that focuses on your strengths and well-being while tackling topics such as learning strategies, career competencies, financial literacy, and life at UT.
