Q&A

What do you enjoy most about working with UT undergrads?

Every student comes to UT with their own story, challenges, and hopes. I love getting to meet students exactly where they are and being even a small part of their growth, confidence, and success along the way.

What is the most important advice you would give new students?

You never have to do this alone. There are people across this campus who genuinely want to support you, especially in moments when things feel overwhelming or uncertain. If you’re ever feeling stuck, lost, or unsure of your next step, please know you’re not a burden — you’re exactly who we’re here for. And my door is always open!

What is your favorite place on campus?

I may be a little biased, but the Vol Study Center in Strong Hall. It’s a welcoming space to grab some coffee, find a snack, take a deep breath, and settle in to focus.

Why should students take advantage of the ASC?

Because college can be hard at times, and asking for support is a strength. The Academic Success Center is here to help you navigate challenges, find your footing, and remind you that you belong. We’re a place where you can learn, be supported, and know that you truly matter.
