Q&A
What do you enjoy most about working with UT undergrads?
I enjoy guiding and supporting students as they navigate their collegiate journey.
What is the most important advice you would give new students?
College is an opportunity to invest in yourself. There are so many resources that students can take advantage of to help build or enhance skills that will prepare them for the “real world”. Do not be afraid to ask for help along the way and stay ready so you don’t have to get ready!!
What is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus would be Frieson Black Cultural Center (FBCC). There are so many events that are hosted by the Office of Campus Culture & Community. Frieson Fridays is one of my favorite events on campus as it is another way to fellowship with many students, faculty, staff, and fellow volunteers after a long week. There are also study rooms available in the center as well, so if you are looking to switch up your study location, I 10/10 recommend!
Why should students take advantage of the ASC?
Students should take advantage of the Academic Success Center because this office is designed with them in mind! The Academic Success Center can help students with a variety of academic related concerns from time management, goal settings, and study skills to helping them understand campus navigation, policies, and resources.
