When do I apply for University Honors?

If you’re a prospective first-year student, apply to UT by the early action deadline, November 1. After applying to the university, qualified students will receive an invitation via email to apply.

Current first-year students at UT can apply to join honors by submitting an application by April 1 for consideration to start in the subsequent fall semester. Current students can find more detailed information and the application here.

Transfer students can apply to join honors by submitting an application by April 1 for consideration to start in the subsequent fall semester. Transfer students with more than 30 credit hours should investigate college and departmental honors programs (https://studentsuccess.utk.edu/honors/college-and-departmental-honors-programs/).
