A Four-Year Pathway
Year 1:
Learning the Terrain
Start strong by building your foundation and learning how to navigate campus resources.
- Participate in RTS Kickoff August 11-13, Registration coming in late March via email
- Complete a first-year seminar course
- Connect with academic advising and support services
- Begin building your scholar community
Year 2:
Strengthening the Climb
Deepen your engagement and continue developing academic and personal success strategies.
- Participate in sophomore-year experiences
- Continue academic coursework tied to program milestones

Program Expectations
Rocky Top Scholars includes semester-based commitments designed to support your success and keep you on track.
These include:
- Academic coaching meetings

- Completion of key program milestones
Participation in Rocky Top Scholars is required to maintain eligibility for select scholarships, including Flagship, UT Promise, and Tennessee Pledge.
