For Immigrants, Non-Residents, & Minority Students

The following are just a few of the hundreds of nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships detailed on Immigrant Rising’s full list of undergraduate scholarships. All of these scholarships seek to help fund undergraduate studies and do not require proof of citizenship or legal permanent residency. Some eligibility criteria looks specifically for undocumented immigrants to apply; however, many scholarships exist for other minority populations as well (like this scholarship, offered exclusively to vegetarians). Note that scholarships listed as “nationally competitive” indicate they are completely open to applicants residing in any US state. Scholarship America Dream Award
Award: $5,000 to $15,000
Academic Level: Undergraduate Student, Community College Student

Eligibility:
• Enroll full-time at a sophomore year-level or higher at an
accredited college, university, or vocational-technical
school in the U.S.
• Be a U.S. high school graduate who will be studying toward their associate’s or first
bachelor’s degree
• Be at least seventeen (17) years old
• GPA requirement: 3.0

United Methodist GBHEM Scholarships
Award: $400 to $2,000

• Be an active, full member of the The United Methodist
Church for at least one year
• Enrolled full-time during the fall term following the
application deadline
