This years EURēCA event drew an impressive 852 undergraduate students, each sharing their work through 582 distinct research and creative projects. The exhibition reflected the intellectual curiosity and innovation happening across campus, with projects encompassing everything from engineering prototypes and scientific experiments to artistic performances, business case studies, and community-based research.

The April 28 awards ceremony served as the culminating celebration of this campus-wide achievement. A total of 119 honors were awarded by participating colleges, recognizing excellence in research design, originality, methodology, and impact. The event brought together students from 12 colleges and more than 56 departments, illustrating the deeply embedded culture of undergraduate research at UT.

EURēCA represents more than just final presentations—it reflects the persistence, creativity, and intellectual curiosity our students bring to their academic journey,” said Meredith Malburne-Wade, Director of Undergraduate Research & Fellowships. Its incredible to see how research empowers students to grow, collaborate, and contribute meaningfully to their fields and to our campus community.”

Behind the scenes, 291 faculty mentors—along with postdoctoral and graduate student supporters—guided students through their research efforts.Additionally, 214 judges from campus and industry evaluated the work, with division staff and OURF collaborating throughout the academic year to make this experience possible.
