Advising Groups

Staff Development

UTK has a variety of groups dedicated to the advancement of advising initiatives on campus with representation from key colleges and units. 

The Academic Advising Leadership group consists of each college’s Director of Advising and the Associate Vice Provost for Student Success, Leonard Clemons.

TennACADA is the primary organized group of professional and faculty advisors and student support personnel at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The association is an allied member of NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising and supports their goals and programs. 

The Professional Development Committee is responsible for the creation of a robust calendar of professional development opportunities, including the annual UTK Advising Conference.

The DEI Committee for Academic Advising & Student Success works collaboratively with the Professional Development Committee to host bi-annual discussion series revolving around issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
